5 Keanu Reeves Quotes to Stop Overthinking the Past
“Grief changes shape but it never ends.”
On December 24, 1999, Keanu’s wife gave birth to a stillborn child. The couple separated a few weeks later. I cannot imagine the pain they went through.
Keanu’s father was an abusive alcoholic, who was once arrested for selling heroin at Hilo Airport in Hawaii in 1992. The father abandoned the family when he was just 3 years old. As Keanu himself put it, “the story with me and my dad’s pretty heavy. It’s full of pain and woe and f***ing loss and all that s***.”
And yet, he found a way to bounce back. He found the inner strength to learn from his hardships and become one of Hollywood’s most beloved actors.
Here are five lessons Keanu learned during his lifetime.
“If you have been brutally broken but still have the courage to be gentle to other living beings, then you’re a badass with a heart of an angel.”
In my experience, I often overthink things when something bad happens in my life. By bad, I mean something unpleasant and unexpected. Something that I think could’ve been prevented.
