Good point, and definitely in their playbook. But honestly I felt from the beginning that this was just another dumb hype cycle chase. They did so with the fully mobile game, and now they're doing it with ultra-realism.

Edit: just to clarify; nobody is going to see your 4k textures if you're zoomed out all the way.
