I Did Deadlifts Every Day For 27 Days Straight— And I’m Never Going Back
Okay, so, yes, I do live in a one-room apartment that has a barbell in it. Don’t ask me why. I just think it’s nice to have a barbell around. Okay?
If you don’t have a barbell, well… Sucks for you. You’ll be missing out on this amazing workout and over-complicating your life with a dozen accessory exercises which you’ll probably give up anyway.
But if you can manage to get yourself some equipment — or if you have the motivation to hit the gym every day — listen up.
Why you struggle to work out consistently
Whichever way you look at it, most people who have gym memberships don’t use them. USA Today estimates that 67% of gym memberships go unused, while DailyMail puts that number at around 50%.
The gyms prefer it this way. The customer who pays but never shows up is the perfect customer for a commercial gym. It means they sell even more memberships.
But why do people keep playing into their hands?
It’s easy to blame this trend on laziness. People get all motivated and purchase a year’s worth of gym access and then struggle to use it by week 3.
