Very silly comparison. Books have no inherent value. Even Brothers Karamazov isn't worth your $3 if you're not going to read it (and, more importantly, think about it and keep thinking about it.) Whereas a greeting card is a very functional, very usable item that delivers all of its value on the same day it's bought (most likely) with no effort or qualifications required. Great article
